The American Library Assn. will bring its 2010 and 2016 midwinter meetings to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. The events are expected to draw 14,000 attendees each, filling more than 23,000 room nights total and 5,500 peak room nights. The 2005 event was held at Boston's John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center and attracted 13,000 attendees.
The Natl. Assn. of Realtors' Realtors Conference & Expo will be held in San Diego in November 2009. It's expected to attract about 18,000 attendees and generate 36,685 room nights.
Tarsus Group extended its strategic partnership with Chinese event organizer Shanghai Modern Intl. Exhibition Co. to focus on growing existing events and the launch of new products targeting the automotive, promotional merchandise, printing, packaging, advertising and sign making industries.
