Michael Hart -- Tradeshow Week, 7/9/2007

Micshon Anderson joined the Georgia World Congress Center as security manager.

Meeting Professionals Intl. named Cary Broussard vice president for marketing and brand strategy. She was previously leading diversity officer and senior vice president.

Access Intelligence named Scott Chase 2008–2009 chairman of the Satellite Conference and Exhibition.

Luis Padilla joined ENK Intl. in the new post of president. He was formerly president of Sears, Roebuck and held several posts with Target. At ENK, he reports to Elyse Kroll, chairman and chief creative officer.

Sharon Peetz is the new Exhibition Assn. of South Africa general manager. She succeeded Mandy O'Connor.

Exhibitgroup/Giltspur hired Kelly Pemberton as director of marketing.

Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services named Mike Pergola national sales manager in its Las Vegas office, Nicole Cochrane event manager in the St. Louis office and Alexia Gonzalez event manager in the Miami office.

Freeman hired John Plescia as director of electrical, rigging and I&D services in its Orlando office. He was previously event operations director for the Orange County (Fla.) Convention Center, which named Michaal Rossi to replace him. Rossi was previously director of event management at the center.

The Brookfield (Wis.) Convention & Visitors Bureau named Rodney Raschka executive director. He was previously director of sales at the DoubleTree Hotel Milwaukee Brookfield.

Thomas "Buck" Riley, chairman and founder of law firm Riley, Riper, Hollin & Colagreco, was chosen as board chairman of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority. Riley, previously vice chairman of the authority's board, succeeded Michael A. Nutter, who resigned to run for mayor of Philadelphia.

Reed Exhibitions promoted Mandy Torrens to exhibition director of EIBTM, the global meetings and incentives exhibition held annually in Barcelona, Spain.

The Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau named Mark Tunney managing director of convention sales. He was previously director of sales and marketing for the Renaissance Chicago Hotel.
