Ethnic Food Shows Get a Little Culture

Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 7/16/2007

The collocated All Asia Food Expo, Expo Comida Latina and Kosherfest will be under the same banner for the first time later this year.

Diversified Business Communications, the owner of all three shows, recently united the collocated events in New York under the brand Cultural Food, which will be in New York Nov. 11–12 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. All Asia Food Expo and Expo Comida Latina will also be under the Cultural Food brand in Los Angeles with a kosher pavilion (that is not an edition of Kosherfest) Sept. 10–11.

"This is an umbrella brand for our ethnic food and buyers," said Brian Randall, group vice president for Diversified. "It was really too long to say."

Expo Comida Latina Houston will remain a stand-alone event, he added.

The company, which also owns All Things Organic, will have an organic foods pavilion at this year's New York event. There are no plans for a similar pavilion at the Los Angeles show.
