Doing Business in the E.U.
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 10/1/2007
Every year the tradeshow industry becomes more and more global. Show managers are beginning to see a demand for their brands in other countries, buyers are seeking out new sources for the products and services they need, and exhibitors are finding markets in lands where they never imagined there could be potential customers.
With that in mind, Tradeshow Week and its partners will hold the first Doing Business in the European Union conference Oct. 2–4 in Brussels, Belgium, and Duesseldorf, Germany.
In conjunction with the conference, TSW has devoted this issue to providing its readers with some information that may help them as they expand their businesses into one of the largest economies in the world. In the following pages, you will learn about dealing with the E.U.'s value-added tax, get a rundown on some of the European Community's major venues and read a discussion with one of the European exhibition industry's most dynamic entrepreneurs, Mark Shashoua.
