Messe Duesseldorf's Sept. 18–21 A+A 2007 international trade fair for safety, security and health at work drew 1,460 exhibitors from 51 nations and a record 55,100 trade visitors, compared with 54,350 at its last staging in 2005. The concurrently held international A+A Congress registered about 6,000 participants.

The High Point Market's Oct. 1–7 Fall Market drew 83,974 total registrants, a 1-percent decline compared with the 84,896 registrants at the fall 2006 event. At the same time, the show saw a 6-percent increase in buyers: 47,441 this fall compared with 44,519 last year, according to the High Point Market Authority.
