New Leader for Australian CVB Group

The Assn. of Australian Convention Bureaux has named as its new president Sandra Chipchase, CEO of the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau. She succeeds Robyn Hendry, CEO of the Canberra Convention Bureau. The Australian Convention Bureau is a consortium of the country's convention and visitors bureaus, similar to the Destination Marketing Assn. Intl. in the United States. Along with Chipchase's installation as president, John Fitzgerald, CEO of the Sunshine Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau, was named vice president.
