The New Year brings information on new shows, as well as date changes and cancellations, spanning the globe from London to Karachi, Pakistan.
The U.S. children's wear tradeshow Bubble New York will have a spin-off, Bubble London, at London's Olympia Two Jan. 22-23 with about 60 exhibitors. Organizing the launch of Bubble in Europe is Kidding Consulting of New York. The two-year-old U.S. biennial show takes place at showrooms in New York City. Last July's edition attracted 100 exhibitors and 1,100 attendees.

MCH Swiss Exhibition canceled the 2008 Buch Basel, originally scheduled May 2-4. Organizers said a difficult market environment kept registration below expectations. Poor conditions in the Australian agriculture industry led to the cancellation of the May 30-31, 2008, Natl. Australian Cotton Trade Show in Moree, Australia. Officials in Australia said they expected this season's harvest to be just 10 percent of the average cotton crop. Coordinator Brian O'Connell said the decision would allow growers and potential exhibitors to concentrate on getting their businesses through these challenging times, largely caused by a long-term drought. He said he expects the show to return in May 2009.
The first Intl. Rental Exhibition will be held in the RAI Exhibition Center in Amsterdam, Netherlands, June 3-5. The RAI organizes the new show in cooperation with the European Rental Assn. An integral part of the event will be the association's annual conference, to be held alongside the main exhibition in an adjacent conference hall. Organizers said they hope other domestic and international associations also will hold meetings and conferences during the event.
Decorate Life is the name of the new combination of Tendence Autumn + Winter, Collectione Preview Spring + Summer and The Design Annual to be held at the Frankfurt (Germany) Fair and Exhibition Centre July 4-8. 2008 will see a new Aqua-Therm in Minsk, Belarus, in addition to existing editions of the show in Kiev, Ukraine; Almaty, Kazakhstan; and Baku, Azerbaijan. The international exhibition for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water sanitation and environmental technology is scheduled to premiere Nov. 11-13. Although Reed Exhibitions came up with the concept, an Italian exhibition company, Fin-Mark of Bologna, will organize the show in Minsk.
Because of a conflict with the 2008 Summer Olympics, the COS+H 2008 China Intl. Occupational Safety & Health Exposition has been rescheduled Nov. 17-20 at the Natl. Agriculture Exhibition Center in Beijing. Originally planned for September, the show will be hosted by the State Administration of Work Safety and jointly organized by Messe Duesseldorf China and the Natl. Center for Intl.
