Don Barshinger, president and executive creative director of Slack Barshinger, left the agency to pursue a career as an independent writer. Creative directors Ron Klingensmith, Kelley Fead and Karen Miller will assume his duties.
Robert F. “Bob” Bedell, president and CEO of the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Assn., will retire at the end of June.
Sandra Chipchase, CEO of the Melbourne Convention & Visitors Bureau, was elected president of the Assn. of Australian Convention Bureaux. John Fitzgerald, CEO of the Sunshine Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau, was elected vice president.

Bill Lynch was promoted to senior director of membership and exhibitions for the Natl. Assn. of the Specialty Food Trade. In addition to his current Fancy Food Show management responsibilities, he also will direct NASFT's membership initiatives.
