-- Tradeshow Week, 1/28/2008

According to preliminary figures, 27,000 people from 98 countries attended the Intl. Assn. of Amusement Parks and Attractions' IAAPA Attractions Expo 2007. The conference and tradeshow for thrill rides and theme parks took place at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center Nov. 12-16. Attendance was up more than 30 percent from 2006 in Atlanta.

Deutsche Messe's 20th Domotex Hannover, held Jan. 12-15 in Hannover, Germany, set a new attendance record by drawing more than 47,000, compared with 43,538 last year. The show for the carpet and floor coverings industry also had a record number of exhibitors, 1,442, occupying more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space.
