CMP Asia named Alan Cheung CFO, to be based in Hong Kong.

Dan Cole, vice president of sales and business development for the Consumer Electronics Assn., will serve as chairman of the Exhibition and Event Industry Audit Commission.

Rick de Bois was named a member of the Trade Show Exhibitors Assn.'s board of directors. He is chief executive of Rapiergroup, an exhibits marketing provider.

The Natl. Hardware Show realigned its management team. Dennis MacDonald, senior vice president, will continue to oversee overall strategic brand development for the show. Dean Russo, senior vice president, has responsibility for day-to-day business and financial operations. A new position was created for Sonya Ruff Jarvis, former marketing director, who will serve as executive director for industry relations.

Mike Mooney was promoted from CFO to COO of the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau.

David Nussbaum, former CEO of Penton Media and Sundance Business Enterprises, was named chairman and CEO of F+W Publications.

Schneider Publishing hired John Oliver, former Meeting Professionals Intl. director of advertising sales, as advertising manager.

Andrew Ortale joined The Expo Group as vice president of national sales and will manage the Washington, D.C., office.

Champion Exposition Services announced that David Perkins joined the company as executive vice president of sales. He will manage the North American sales organization from the Washington, D.C., office.

Megan Tanel was promoted to vice president of exhibitions for the Assn. of Equipment Managers, to oversee all AEM show activities in the United States. She will continue as director of CONEXPO-CON/AGG and the Intl. Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition. AEM also named Larry Charrlin executive director of international exhibitions. He will oversee AEM's overseas shows, including CONEXPO Asia and CONEXPO Russia.
