For the Exhibitor in Your Life

-- Tradeshow Week, 3/10/2008

A few products and services for the exhibitor:

Presentations in a pocket

Digi Intl.’s Digi ShowBox is an electronic device that plays presentations for tradeshow exhibits, information displays and mobile presentations. It’s small, rugged, lightweight, easy to hide on a tradeshow floor and safe to ship, eliminating the need for dedicated laptops for presentations or expensive, single-use printed graphics. The Digi ShowBox is small enough to fit in a jacket pocket. Some models allow users to customize how and when the multiple presentations appear.

Alligator on display

Drytac’s new Alligator retractable banner’s hardware is completely hidden behind the graphic, leaving only the image visible. It can be used for tradeshows, public events or any other display environment. Multiple Alligator units can be configured to create economical backwall graphics. Graphics can be changed out fast with the Velcro application strip and, for side-by-side applications such as mural walls, the top rails are equipped with magnetic fasteners.

Exhibitors with stick-to-it-iveness

Justick Electro Adhesion Products’ electro-adhesion technology gives exhibitors a fool-proof way to display posters, papers, most laminates, plastics and metals. Justick adheres flat objects of all kinds to display systems with no sticky surface or static. Justick unveiled its display technology at the INPEX invention tradeshow in 2006 and won that year’s Xerox Innovation Award for patented technology.

Do you have a card?

Grab-A-Card makes it easier for exhibitors to get their business cards into attendees’ hands. It has a slot to hold the front card forward in the display position and comes with removable base plate, 3M pressure-sensitive tape and a spring-loaded lid. Grab-A-Card displays business cards virtually anywhere in an outdoor weather-resistant dispenser and can be attached to nearly any surface with either its 3M pressure-sensitive tape or old-fashioned screws or nails.

A stand-up stand

Nomadic Display’s Instand pop-up system includes a monitor mount with keyboard shelf, profile headers, cable-suspended graphics, standoff graphic signage, product shelving and lighting options. New Instand displays offer the accessories lightweight portability, lifetime warranty and the capability of integrating the accessories with other Nomadic properties to expand to larger booths in the future.

Calling from the floor

Reed Exhibitions’ eSPOC (electronic Single Point of Contact) program is connecting exhibitors and contractors at 15 Freeman-contracted shows this year to eliminate the need to visit the service desk. Using handheld instruments, eSPOC allows a show manager’s operations staff, Freeman and venue service suppliers to connect directly with exhibitors. Exhibitors who haven’t received services can approach a floor manager or Reed operations person to send a message instantly to Freeman and the necessary vendor.
