EHX Organizer to Aid Associations
-- Tradeshow Week, 4/14/2008
Four successful shows and multiple Tradeshow Week Fastest 50 wins later, EH Publishing still isn't through. The publisher and tradeshow management firm has formed a new subsidiary, Assn. Event Ventures, to organize shows and integrated media platforms for the association market.
John Galante will add president of AE Ventures to his title of vice president of EH Publishing as he ventures into what he described as a “world of opportunity for us.”
EH coincided the announcement of the new division with that of its first event: the launch of the Electronic Security Expo for the Central Station Alarm Assn. and the Natl. Burglar & Fire Alarm Assn. June 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn.
EH Publishing owns four tradeshows – Electronic House Expo Fall and Spring, TecHome Builder Expo and Worship Facilities Conference & Expo – along with affiliated print and online publications.
Galante said the new subsidiary would apply the same strategy to its work with associations that it has used in the electronic home sector as a for-profit.
“We'll be more inclined to new launch activities,” he said, as opposed to taking over management of existing association events.
“That's definitely going to be our MO for this business,” Galante added.
Likewise, he said, with the other integrated media platforms associated with EH Publishing's tradeshows.
Although Electronic Security Expo is the first event in the works for AE Ventures, Galante said it will not be the last.
“We've got a couple other projects we'll be announcing in the next couple of weeks,” he said.
