The Professional Convention Management Assn. named Mark Holmes chief financial officer and promoted Mona Simon of the sales and strategic partnerships team to director of partner relations and advertising. Mary Reynolds Kane was named marketing manager; Julie Fawcett, communications manager; and Meredith Rollins, manager of industry and project initiatives. PCMA also named Michelle Russell editor-in-chief of Convene magazine and Chris Durso executive editor.
Hong Kong-based AsiaWorld-Expo named Trevor Lui corporate development director.
Smart City promoted Keith McNeely to senior director of technology services for all Las Vegas-based Smart City operations, Gary Suskind to senior systems engineer and Chris Martinkovich to general manager of the Las Vegas Convention Center team. Priscilla Acierto was promoted to manager of customer sales and service for Las Vegas hotel properties, Greg Smith to facility manager for the Priority Networks team at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Julia Slocombe to director of technology services at the San Diego Convention Center and Brandon Morris to operations supervisor for Smart City's Orange County Convention Center team in Orlando.
Trevor McCartney was appointed chief executive of the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching in Sarawak, Malaysia. He was formerly director of international sales and operations at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall in Cholburi, Thailand.
SMG Hawai'i named Neil J. Mullanaphy executive director of sales and marketing for the Hawai'i Convention Center.
Meet Minneapolis appointed Melvin Tennant president and CEO. Tennant was hired earlier this year to oversee an Internet destination sales program affiliated with the organization. Tennant has been acting CEO since Greg Ortale left in November to take the top job at the Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
