New this year: HCEA added three new sessions this year, focusing on sustainability in the health care convention marketing industry and the future of the health care convention hall. Also joining the annual meeting for the first time are keynote addressers The Water Coolers, a sketch comedy and music group.
The bottom line: Although HCEA doesn't expect the record attendance of 800 from last year's meeting in Philadelphia, where much of its membership is based, it does expect a strong turnout.
