Orlando Hotels Undergo Renovations
-- Tradeshow Week, 6/16/2008
Renovations scheduled to begin in August on suites at the Caribe Royale Orlando All-Suites Hotel and Convention Center and the Buena Vista Suites Hotel, both located in Orlando, will total $25 million. Buena Vista's renovations are expected to be completed by the end of this year, and Caribe Royale's by May.
“We are thrilled to be starting this renovation, which is a direct result of feedback from our guests,” said Eric Rosenbaum, vice president of Florida operations for Glendale, Calif.-based Sierra Land Group, which owns both hotels. “The suite design will be the same at the Caribe Royale and Buena Vista Suites, which is perfect for groups needing accommodations at both properties.”
Combined, the two adjacent hotels offer 1,600 two-room suites and about 150,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
“Over 70 percent of our groups return to us for their subsequent meetings, and we are excited to be able to offer new, upgraded rooms,” said Gerald Urquiola, general manager of the Caribe Royale.
The refurbishment includes new carpets, drapes, wall coverings, furniture, bedding, flat screen high-definition TVs, closets and safes.
