Kerry Painter was appointed president and CEO of the Niagara Falls (Ont.) Convention & Civic Centre.
Christina Pappas was named director of conventions and meetings for the Specialty Graphic Imaging Assn.
Bill Peeper, who retired last year as CEO of the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, joined the OCG Consulting Group as a project adviser.
Stephen R. Pitt was promoted from executive director to vice president of conventions and expositions for the Natl. Automobile Dealers Assn. He will be responsible for the planning and execution of two annual tradeshows, the annual NADA Convention & Expo and the ATD Convention for the American Truck Dealers division of NADA.
Craig Smith, president of Freeman's Audio Visual Solutions division, will retire Sept. 30. Smith began his tradeshow career with Freeman in 1969 and received Freeman's highest honor, the Buck Freeman Award, in 2002.
Dmg world media appointed Alan Steel executive vice president for business-to-retail and Jack Withiam Jr. senior vice president and general counsel. George F. “Jeff” Little II is now co-president of George Little Management, a dmg world media company. Dmg world media completed its acquisition of GLM last fall.
Liz Ware, chief rainmaker in charge of ASAE & The Center's sponsorship programs, industry relations, development and special events, is leaving the organization to become a senior vice president of research and consulting firm IEG.
Kerri Zerlin has joined the Tradeshow Week editorial staff as an assistant editor. A graduate of the California State University, Northridge journalism program, Zerlin has been a senior editor with LCT magazine and a contributing writer with Venues Today magazine.
