Exhibiting Made Easy
-- Tradeshow Week, 6/30/2008
Everyone wants their booth to be bigger, better and, if that's not possible, to at least draw a crowd. Whether it's a 10'x10' at a small show or a giant booth at a Tradeshow Week 200 event, these products and services will help the exhibitor.
The biggest big screenPrestige AV & Creative Services' 120-feet-wide projection screen officially is turned on. The screen, said to be the largest in the United States, requires eight 15,000 lumen projectors and is driven by Dataton's “Watchout” presentation software. The software blends the projectors into single, full-motion video on its 1,800 square foot surface. Prestige AV & Creative Services unveiled the screen to the Intl. Assoc. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), who plan to use it during their quadrennial Grand Lodge Convention in Orlando Sept. 7-13.

Seeing is believingStaging Connections, in collaboration with Telstra and Bytecraft Entertainment, and in partnership with Musion Australia, created a mobile, 3-D, video conferencing hologram, allowing real-time interaction between users in different locations. Using a video camera to film, the image is transmitted over Telstra's network and projected using Staging Connections' Christie HD projection system and a Musion Eyeliner optical projection system, which projects a life-size hologram onto a 12-meter by 4-meter Musion foil. The hologram gives the look and feel of the person being in the same room as the audience.

Follow-ups that follow upListeNation launched its Pre-recorded Follow-up System (PFS Call), which company officials said will bring a lead follow-up solution to the marketing-to-sales disconnect. PFS Call is a series of recorded messages sent at regular intervals to an exhibitor or generated lead. The first message is delivered the same day the lead visits the booth. Message No. 2 is sent one week after the event to non-respondent leads, while the final pre-recorded message is sent seven days later, assuring all leads receive follow-up calls. A detailed report of all call attempts, including unreachable leads, is delivered to the sales representative after the third message.
