- Freeman signed a multiyear contract to act as the Specialty Coffee Assn. of America's official service contractor. The contract begins with the SCAA's 2009 Atlanta Annual Conference & Exhibition.
- Messe Frankfurt and the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau agreed to work together on new tradeshows in Thailand. In 2006, Messe Frankfurt, through its subsidiary in Hong Kong and in cooperation with Thai exhibition organizer IPEX, already launched one tradeshow in Thailand, Automechanika Thailand, and it has another one in the works, Intersec Thailand, which will make its debut in December in Bangkok.
- The Expo Group entered into a partnership with EuroFiere, an Italian design and custom exhibit firm. TEG will provide consulting and oversee production and installation for EuroFiere clients entering the U.S. market for tradeshows and in-store installations.
