Anime Expo, produced by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation, set an attendance record this year. About 43,000 came to the Los Angeles Convention Center July 3-6, compared with 41,000 at last year's show.
All-Energy '08, a renewables exhibition and conference produced by Media Generation Events and held May 21-22 at Scotland's Aberdeen Exhibition and Convention Centre, attracted 4,400 attendees, compared with 4,000 in 2007.
