RJ Promotions Expands to El Paso

-- Tradeshow Week, 9/15/2008

RJ Promotions expanded its consumer show division with the launch of its first consumer show in Texas, the El Paso Spring Home Show, to be held Jan. 9-11 at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center in El Paso, Texas.

The addition of the El Paso Spring Home Show brings RJ Promotions' consumer show arsenal to 18 in eight states, including shows on home remodeling; flower, lawn and garden; hunting; camping; boating; and outdoor interests.

“El Paso is a unique market for our company, and we are looking forward to bringing our shows to the state of Texas,” said Kevin Hummer, CEO of RJ Promotions.

The consumer show will be sponsored by the El Paso Assn. of Builders, which previously had a similar partnership with another show management company.

“The Assn. of Builders is very excited about our partnership with RJ Promotions,” said Ray Adauto, the association's executive vice president. “We have held home shows in the El Paso market for 20 years, and we are confident the experienced professionals at RJ Promotions will take our show to a new level of excitement and interest for the consumers and exhibitors.”

In May, RJ Promotions acquired the Shreveport Hunter's Expo from James Nelson, moving it to the Shreveport (La.) Convention Center from the Bossier (La.) Convention Center, where it was held for the past 10 years.

“There continues to be a strong demand for shows from both exhibitors and attendees,” Hummer said. “Our 2008 shows have exceeded our expectations and projections. We look forward to watching our shows continue to grow.”
