Reed Exhibitions Senior Vice President Dean Russo has left the company for a position with the Security Industry Assn. and the American Rental Assn. will induct three people into its Rental Hall of Fame, among other news about people in the association show world:
The Advertising Specialty Institute named Alex Belotserkovskiy vice president of development, John Bush vice president of product management and Keith Tuskey chief technology officer. Belotserkovskiy and Bush will report to Tuskey.
The American Rental Assn. announced it will induct three new rental leaders into the Rental Hall of Fame during the next edition of The Rental Show. The late Thomas M. “Mitch” Hoxie, the late Hal Plugge Jr. and Bradley Jacobs will be inducted during the keynote session March 3 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
J. Emmett Reed, CEO and executive vice president of the Florida Home Builder’s Assn., which owns the Southeast Building Conference, will step down Jan. 1. Paul Thompson, senior vice president, will succeed Reed.
Dean Russo recently joined the Security Industry Assn. as director of international relations. Prior to SIA, Russo was group vice president and sales director for Reed Exhibitions and managed Intl. Security Conference & Exposition East and West.
Richard Shine, CEO of Manitoba Recycling, and Charles Reagan, an associate to the president at Kansas State University, were appointed to the Natl. Business Aviation Assn.’s board of directors during the NBAA’s Annual Meeting & Convention Oct. 6-8 in Orlando. They each will serve a three-year term on the 18-member board
Jules A. Sieburgh was installed as global president of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals during the association’s recent 2008 Annual Convention & Tradeshow in Nashville, Tenn. Sieburgh is a hospitality consultant with O’Neal Consultants in Bethesda, Md.
SmithBucklin named Brad Weaber president of Courtesy Associates, its Washington, D.C.-based conference and event management firm. Weaber, previously chief customer officer of Experient, succeeds Courtesy President Shelia Stampfli, who will become chief business development officer.
