Launch Fits the Euromold
-- Tradeshow Week, 8/3/2009
German tradeshow organizer Demat, organizer of the EuroMold tool, design and product development tradeshow, and Cincinnati-based Gardner Publications, a multimedia and events company for the manufacturing industry, have joined forces to launch a tradeshow and conference for the U.S. moldmaking, tooling, design and product development technology industries. The Product Development Experience/amerimold is set to take place May 11-13 at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati.
“The EuroMold show has become the premier European event for those interested in design, product development, rapid prototyping, moldmaking, and related technologies and processes,” said Richard G. Kline, president of Gardner Publications. “We will bring this experience, and more, to North America with the cooperation of Demat.”
According to Lisa Dodge, PDx/amerimold managing director, the show's creation will entail the repackaging of two of Gardner's existing events, Time Compression Conference & Expo and MoldMaking Conference and Expo, and turning them into a new show that will follow the model of Demat's annual EuroMold event held in Frankfurt, Germany.
The resulting tradeshow and conference will connect the industry supply chain, joining moldmakers, molders and original equipment manufacturers under one roof, Dodge said. The event will both meet an unfilled need in North America and attract international participation, she added.
“The U.S. market lacks a comprehensive design-through-series-production conference and expo,” Dodge said. “By developing active participation and bridging the gap from the industrial design community to the manufacturing engineering community to the original equipment manufacturers, amerimold at PDx will be a unique and valuable experience.”
The U.S. event for Demat comes two years after its launch of asiamold in Guangzhou, China, in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt China.
