PCMA Announces New Board Members

The Professional Convention Management Assn. recently announced the new officers and directors who will take office immediately following the PCMA Annual Meeting Jan. 10-13 in Dallas. Susan R. Katz, director of corporate events and travel at True Value, will serve as chair-elect and Kent E. Allaway, director of meetings and tradeshows at the Produce Marketing Assn., will be secretary-treasurer. Both have one-year terms.
Several professional directors were elected to the board:
• Willie L. Benjamin II, assistant director of meetings and expositions at the American Chemical Society, will serve from 2010 to 2012.
• David Little, assistant CEO of the Western Veterinary Conference, will serve from 2010 to 2012.
• Christopher Wehking, director of meetings and exhibits at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, will serve from 2010 to 2012.
• Johnnie C. White, director of meetings and conventions at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, will serve during 2010.
Several supplier directors were elected to the board:
• Carrie Freeman Parsons, vice chair and chief marketing officer at Freeman, will serve from 2010 to 2012.
• Richard B. Green, vice president of association business development and strategic partnerships at Marriott Intl., will serve from 2010 to 2012.
• Don Welsh, president and CEO of the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Assn., will serve from 2010 to 2011.
