NPE Leaves Chicago for Orlando

In 2012, the Society of the Plastics Industry will move its triennial
NPE - The Plastics Showcase from its home in Chicago's McCormick Place, where it has been since 1971, to Orlando's Orange County Convention Center. Jim Murphy, NPE2012 vice chairman, said part of the decision was "driven by exhibitor comments on escalating costs in Chicago for the show." The 2012 show will be held April 1-5, and a contract also was signed for the 2015 show March 22-26, according to John Effmann, NPE2012 chairman.
