Everyone knows the Professional Convention Management Assn. Annual Meeting has such a strong commitment to sustainability that it puts green features in its RFPs.
But if you’re wondering what will be green at this year’s meeting, scheduled Jan. 10-13 at the Dallas Convention Center, you can get a sneak peek next month.
A special Convene Green Alliance Focus Forum is scheduled Dec. 8 at the Washington (D.C.) Wardman Park Marriott from 9 to 11 a.m. to unveil the sustainable planning, organizing and negotiating that went into the upcoming meeting.
“PCMA’s Annual Meeting is a meeting for meeting professionals, and as a result, is one of the most scrutinized meetings in our industry.” said Tracey Messina, Executive Director of the Convene Green Alliance. “CGA is pleased to offer Forum attendees the opportunity to learn about the green meeting planning process associated with this high-profile meeting.”
PCMA officials, those from the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau and Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert will attend the meeting to offer insight about meeting green goals.
“This Focus Forum is ideal for anyone with an interest in incorporating more environmentally sustainable practices into their meetings … and if you’re traveling to Dallas for PCMA, it’s a must-attend,” said Jack Sammis, president of IMN Solutions, which founded and manages CGA.
Admission for the Focus Forums is complimentary, as is association membership with CGA. Focus Forum attendees will have the opportunity to win a complimentary registration to the PCMA Convening Leaders conference.
