Nashville Firms Up MedMart Plans

Tennessee state and Nashville (Tenn.) city officials announced plans today for a $250 million, 2 million square foot medical mart on the site of the current Nashville Convention Center. Plans for a new convention center are scheduled for final approval by the Nashville Metro Council. Construction on the proposed 12-story medical mart, to be developed by the Dallas-based Market Center Management Co., would begin next year and be completed by the first quarter of 2013.
