What if Social Media Dramatically Changes Events and Exhibitions…Tomorrow?

September 30, 2009

If you haven't already had a chance to sign up for the MTO Tech series webinar scheduled for October 1st, 1:00-2:00 EDT, you should check it out.  Our featured presenter, Jason McGraw, Senior Vice President Expositions Infocomm International will be discussing how InfoComm is using social media to improve the design and development of their community.

Mr McGraw will cover how InfoComm is seeking to develop dialog within the community and increase member engagement with social media tools.  InfoComm plans to create networking tools and which will extend their marketing reach beyond the direct marketing already in play. In lieu of traditional surveys and focus groups, which take time for response, social media gives InfoComm more immediate relevant information.

I get to serve as color commentator and I like to get in and wrestle with some of the pressing questions that always seem to arise during these programs.  You know, questions like "What if Social Media Dramatically Changes Events...Tomorrow?"  Or even better, "What if Social Media has already changed Face2Face Marketing and Now you are Behind?

We’ll cover:

• InfoComm past social media success

• Devising a strategic social media plan

• Determining guidelines for member exclusive groups

• Intangible values of social media

• Intelligence tools

• Subject matter experts and community managers

• Resource requirements

• Transparency & control issues

• Participation

• Role of Inbound marketing

Join us for an exciting discussion on social media solutions!
