Good Folk
September 19, 2007

Following my post Texas Care Kit to Richard Hunter, I decided to contact him directly to let him know that he should be expecting a package any day, cause I was fixin' to send it.  While I had him on the line, we had the chance to discuss his vision and goals for the APEX initiative.  Beats me how something can still be an iniative after 10 years, but truth be known, this guy has his head on straight.  We covered some of the stuff that had been accomplished and not accomplished, and then he proceeded to define a fairly sensible game plan.

I still think he is going to find some use for cowboy boots, but I am willing to let the guy unpack his saddle before heading out to the fields.  I can't wait to see some tangible progress.
