Nominate a Green Leader

September 23, 2009

When I think of greening in the tradeshow industry, there are several individuals who immediately come to mind.

Funny enough, of the nominations for the inaugural TSW’s Top Eco-Leaders, only one was someone who I would have named off the top of my head. Undeniably, though, all the nominees have taken steps to institute programs to reduce waste and promote the environment in relation to the tradeshow industry.

I know there are more of them out there. This blog is one more reminder that we’re looking for nominations. Until the recession, greening was the No. 1 topic in the tradeshow industry. And, despite it being put on the backburner while some other issues get taken care of, those who really believe in sustainability still are working to put programs in place.

Those are the people we’re looking for.

Individuals nominated must be tied to the industry, such as show managers, exhibit designers, convention center workers or suppliers, and have initiated or moved forward cutting-edge concepts to be sustainable during the past two years.

We’ve pushed our nomination deadline to Oct. 5, so there’s no excuse. The green innovators will be honored in our Oct. 26 issue.

Please send the nominee’s name, company name and a short statement on why you think they should be included to me at stephanie.corbin@reedbusiness.com.
