New Orleans Still in Game With Additional Bookings 03/15/2010
New Orleans’ meetings business continues to appear to be on the mend, as the Metropolitan New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau announced six more events booked from 2012 through 2014 that should generate more than $77 million in economic activity and drive nearly 70,000 potential attendees to town, according to bureau officials.

Harrah’s Will Take Over the Planet By Lisa Plummer - 03/08/2010
Harrah’s Entertainment added a ninth hotel-casino property to its Las Vegas portfolio by purchasing Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The gaming company assumed ownership and operation of the resort Feb. 19, one day after receiving final approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission. Harrah’s also assumed management of Planet Hollywood Jan. 16.
