Top Hanley Wood Execs Bid Adieu By Rachel Wimberly - 06/29/2009
Hanley Wood Exhibitions President Galen Poss and Executive Vice President Michael Green abruptly resigned June 15 in what Poss called a “contract dispute with Hanley Wood over compensation payments owed for performance.” Hanley Wood CEO Frank Anton said former Senior Vice President Rick McConnell would be acting president of the exhibitions division.

Baby Expo Lands Five New Cities By Stephanie Corbin - 06/22/2009
One producer of baby and toddler expos has left the field, leaving another producer an opening to expand its operation to new cities. Bebe Paluzza, which produces the IndyBabyExpo twice each year in Indianapolis, will expand its expos to five new cities next year: Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Denver and Des Moines, Iowa.

Labor Rates: Up ... Right on Cue By Joalien Johnson - 06/15/2009
This year, despite an economic downturn, the 29th annual Tradeshow Week Survey of U.S. Labor Rates has revealed that average national rates in a variety of skill segments are up, compared with last year. The good news, though, is that they’re not up by much: many rates rose less than 4 percent.
