CES Stakes Its Claim in Content Kingdom
Industries as distinct as on-air broadcasting and mobile communications are converging through their common interest in content. So, it's no surprise that the annual U.S. tradeshow for the consumer electronics industry is elbowing in on content territory formerly dominated by television programming executives.

Groups Restate Stand Against Exclusives
A lawsuit filed in San Diego, scheduled to be heard by a judge early last week, has stirred three major tradeshow industry organizations to reiterate their opposition to exclusives in the nation's convention centers.

Executive Shuffle Marks End of Year
As 2007 came to a close and 2008 kicked off, a number of groups made announcements involving tradeshow executives being hired or promoted, or resigning. Topping the list was the Consumer Electronics Assn.'s high-profile hire of tradeshow-industry veteran Nick Orfanopoulos.

Broadband + NXTcomm
CMP Technology will collocate its Broadband Wireless World with the Telecommunications Industry Assn.'s and USTelecom Assn.'s NXTcomm June 16-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It is the second collocation with this year's edition of NXTcomm.
