County Records Detail Sands Expansion
Permit requests and design review documents on file with the Clark County Development Services Department in Las Vegas describe the expansion of the Sands Expo & Convention Center as "a 125-foot high, 1,500,290 square foot exposition hall and convention facility." The county approved the plans in July 2006, and in December 2007, Las Vegas Sands received the final waiver necessary to begin construction.
