Boston Faces Med Show Cancellations
Patrick Moscaritolo said he is “on standby, waiting for the smoke signal to come from the Massachusetts State Capitol.” Moscaritolo, president and CEO of the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau, has been in that mode since Jan. 19, when he told the Massachusetts Public Health Council it was liable to jeopardize the entire state's lucrative health care meetings and tradeshow business.

Houston, Louisville to Host TSW Fastest 50
Tradeshow Week has announced the location of the next two TSW Fastest 50 events at once. This year's event, to be held Nov. 13-15, will take place in Houston, site of the very first TSW Fastest 50 six years ago. The following year, the weekend-long celebration of success will move to Louisville, Ky., Nov. 12-14.

NBAA Combines Its Shows
The downturn in the economy has prompted two shows for the aviation industry to become one. The Natl. Business Aviation Assn. announced the programming and other elements of the upcoming 2009 Light Business Annual Conference will be collocated with the NBAA's Annual Meeting & Convention Oct. 20-22 at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center.

Green Landscape Sows a New Show
Bradford Rand said the fact that there already was a glut of green tradeshows in the marketplace didn’t deter him, so Go Green Expo debuted in April in New York, and a Los Angeles edition kicked off Jan. 23-25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
