Boston Will Bloom Again Next Year
When the Massachusetts Horticultural Society's 137-year-old New England Spring Flower Show was held for the last time in March 2008 at Boston's Bayside Expo Center, it left a void in a city that had grown fond of its annual flower show. Now it seems that gap will be filled as a new annual show, expected to be similar in size, will launch in 2010.

That's been the case with libraries, which traditionally offered books for loan and have expanded into computer services, video loans and magazines. Access Intel Acquires Stake in Retech Energy Show
 Access Intelligence has added another show to its growing portfolio of energy events. The company recently acquired a minority stake in Retech, an exhibition and conference serving the renewable and alternative energy technology sector, from the American Council of Renewable Energy.

Can't Make the Live Event? Go Virtual
For the past nine years, Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Ariba, a software service company for the procurement industry, has held a tradeshow. This year, Ariba caught wind that several attendees would be skipping the live event because of the downturn in the economy, so it acted fast to take the show online.
