Top Hanley Wood Execs Bid Adieu
Hanley Wood Exhibitions President Galen Poss and Executive Vice President Michael Green abruptly resigned June 15 in what Poss called a “contract dispute with Hanley Wood over compensation payments owed for performance.” Hanley Wood CEO Frank Anton said former Senior Vice President Rick McConnell would be acting president of the exhibitions division.

Organizers, Contractors Cautiously Optimistic
Nobody’s happy, but things could be worse. That seemed to be the mood of the nearly 200 attendees who gathered June 11 in Washington, D.C., for the Exhibition & Convention Executives Forum, as well as the estimated 150 attendees who met a week later at the Exhibition Services & Contractors Assn. Summer Educational Conference in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

NACS’ Sessions Address Current Industry Trends
Attendance at the Natl. Assn. of Consumer Shows Annual Convention was slightly down, but NACS officials said the decline to approximately 115 attendees – about 50 fewer than last year – could be contributed to the head of the company attending, rather than several of the subordinates.
