  • Boston Wants to Double CC Size
    The Biotechnology Industry Organization announced earlier this year that it would take BIO Intl. Convention back to Boston in 2012, even though the show will be split between several venues, and many attendees will have to stay a few miles away from the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. But BIO officials also let Boston know they likely wouldn't be back after that if more space and more hotel rooms didn't become available. more » » » 



  • Nashville Moves on With Med Mart Plans
    Nashville, Tenn.’s entry in the race to be the first city to have a national medical mart that will offer tradeshow and permanent display space to medical device makers may have taken a temporary lead. It came with Market Center Management Co.’s Nov. 30 announcement that it will build a 2 million square foot, $250 million facility for permanent and temporary medical device exhibits on the footprint of the current Nashville Convention Center. more » » » 


  • N.O. Boat Show Is Docked for a Year
    The Natl. Marine Manufacturers Assn. postponed its New Orleans Boat & Sportshow at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans for a year. The boat and sportshow production association cited exhibitor demands as the boating industry continues to suffer from the recession as the reason for the postponement. Instead of being held Jan. 6-10, the show will take place Jan. 5-9, 2011. more » » »
